Therapy for College Students

At Collaborative Minds Psychotherapy LLC, one of our specialty areas is providing therapy to college students.

Our clients who are just beginning college are adjusting to being away from home for the first time, learning how to manage their new schedules, organize their studying and homework, navigating roommate issues and developing new friendships and relationships.

Some of our college student clients have taken a leave of absence from school and others are transferring from one college to another. These are big decisions with significant adjustments and we are skilled at helping families through these difficult transitions.

Furthermore, our therapists are young and relatable while also being able to help bridge communication between college students and their parents. We understand the importance of including parents as part of the therapeutic process, while also respecting our college students’ confidentiality.

Being licensed in multiple states helps us do Telehealth with college students who are in college in one state and who’s parents live in a different state. States we are licensed to see clients in are NY, NJ, CT, FL, and LA.
