You Can Sit With Us
Our five-step process ensures you're matched with the right group for your needs.
1. Book a Call
Fill out our contact form here to let us know you're interested in group therapy for yourself or your teen.
2. Chat with our Intake Coordinator
In this 10-15 minute phone call, our Intake Coordinator will learn more about your needs, answer all your questions, and match you with a therapist and group.
3. Connect with Your Group Therapist
Just like clothes shopping, we want to make sure we find you the perfect fit. This 15-minute call* with the therapist will ensure it's a match made in, well, therapy.
*Parents of teens will meet with the therapist for 15 minutes via phone, then the teen will meet with the therapist for 15 minutes via Zoom.
4. Complete Your Paperwork and Intake Session
Our Intake Coordinator will help you set up your patient portal, review payment details, and complete the necessary paperwork. Your group therapist will then lead you through a 60-minute intake appointment so you know exactly what to expect in group.
5. Connect, Heal, and Grow
Attend your first group therapy session, and discover the healing power of community.
-
Teen groups are limited to six people per group; adult groups are capped at eight people. Spaces in each group are limited so that members feel safe and have plenty of opportunity to share and connect with each other and their group leader.
-
Group members are required to sign a Group Agreement upon enrolling in group therapy. This agreement covers specific confidentiality measures, including protecting the anonymity of all participants when discussing the group and being in a private location for the group session.
-
While some clients benefit from doing both individual and group therapy at the same time, others may choose one or the other depending on their immediate needs. If you are currently seeing a therapist, ask them to give you their professional opinion based on what they know about you. If you don't currently see a therapist and need help answering this question, you can email our Intake Coordinator for assistance.
-
While we do not take insurance, you may be eligible to use out-of-network benefits, depending on your specific provider. Contact your insurance company to see if you have out-of-network benefits, and what they apply to. Some companies will reimburse you for 60-80% of the cost of each session after your deductible is met.
-
The price of a group therapy session varies based on several factors. We believe finances shouldn't be a barrier to getting the help you need, and we offer low-fee and sliding scale options for those who need them. The Intake Coordinator will go over your options during your phone call.
